Platinum-cured silicone (addition-cure silicone) is a two-part, platinum-catalyzed liquid silicone rubber that cures into a non-toxic, odorless, and highly transparent elastomer. It is ideal for food, baby care, electronics, and precision molding applications where safety and accuracy are critical.

Chemical Structure: α,ω-Dihydroxy-polydimethylsiloxane (HO-PDMS-OH), a linear siloxane chain with terminal silanol groups.
Reactivity: The terminal –OH groups readily condense with silane coupling agents, crosslinkers (e.g., alkoxysilanes, silicates, isocyanates) or moisture in air to form elastomers at room temperature (RTV).

This is a medium-to-high-viscosity, hydroxyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane that serves as the backbone for RTV silicone elastomers, construction sealants, release coatings, textile finishes, and specialty polymer modifiers.

Silicone defoamers are liquids with particularly low surface tension that contain polysiloxane as their main active ingredient. However, the chemical structure of the polysiloxane plays a decisive role in the defoaming effect. For example, short-chain polysiloxanes can stabilize foam rather than defoam. Whether a specific polysiloxane is a foam stabilizer or a defoamer depends on the compatibility and solubility of the product in the liquid medium. Only incompatible and insoluble polysiloxanes have a defoaming function.

JN-120 series modified silicone liquid defoamer is a new type of high-efficiency defoamer formed by adding various additives to polyether modified silicone. The defoaming and antifoaming properties of this product are quite superior; it is less toxic than polyether defoamers and is more conducive to the growth of microorganisms; at the same time, it does not break the emulsion or float oil after high temperature (120-130℃) disinfection: it effectively reduces the amount of addition. Since this series of products was put on the market, it has been well received by users.
